Financial planning is a very personal service and its only by understanding an individual’s objectives and aspirations for the future that I can help achieve this. I particularly enjoy building a relationship and getting to understand these objectives to ensure that I can put in place a personalised recommendation to achieve a positive outcome.

I have always been drawn to providing pension advice given the many tax benefits associated with these plans, making this an incredibly efficient means for savings for retirement. Equally, given the changes in legislation allowing monies to be draw in a flexible manner, this offers many opportunities on how to access these in a tax efficient manner. Likewise, given the complexity of some schemes, its important to seek advice to ensure that potentially valuable benefits are not missed, or tax incurred unnecessarily.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to try sailing whilst I was at University and this is something I have continued to this day. I now regularly compete in the Round The Island Race (Isle of Wight) and have sailed up and down the south coast, as well as across the channel.
