Shipman Charity Committee

Something we are incredibly proud of is the Shipman Wealth Management Charity Committee. Each year we internally nominate charities and as a group select our chosen charity to support for the calendar year.

In 2023 we worked with FORCE (Friends of the Oncology and Radiotherapy Centre, Exeter) and organised a number of fundraisers and volunteering days. In total we were able to fundraise £11,078 for FORCE in addition to volunteering our time. FORCE became a charity in 1987 and has grown steadily ever since. They have a Cancer support and research centre where we have volunteered our time in preparing their gardens for the summer months.

We are pleased to share that in 2024 we will be supporting Sands Charity. Sands Charity exists with the aim to reduce the number of babies dying and support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support. The charity also raises awareness of baby loss and works with governments, key influencers and other stakeholders to make reducing the number of babies dying a priority nationally and locally. Therefore, we have a number of fundraisers organised for 2024 and we look forward to sharing these with you, alongside any additional volunteering we partake in.
